Biochem/physiol Actions

Carcinogenic. Benzidine is a human carcinogen. 3,3′-Dimethoxybenzidine is used principally as an intermediate in the production of commercial bisazobiphenyl dyes for coloring textiles, paper, plastic, rubber, and leather (Fishbein, 1981).
